Jeanmarie rated it liked it Jun 27, I was lucky to be reading this while Viddler was working in Iceland, living near an abandoned village. In part, this difference can be measured by the fact that, while architecture may have always had a privileged relation to the unheimlich, with its construction of an ultimately faulty barrier between the interior and exterior, in the early discussions architecture was merely a necessary backdrop for uncanny experiences.
