It’s an enjoyable, easy read Almost instantaneously a couple of thoughts came into my mind — thoughts I had read at the very beginning of the Course many times, but which had never seemed any more appropriate for me to apply than at this terrible moment. If some people think it would be wrong to forgive such a thing and teach only love instead of fear, then perhaps they should remember that the crazy people who committed these acts would never have done so if only someone had taken the time to teach them how to forgive I have contacted my spirit guide and read many books about ascended masters.
If anyone has no prior knowledge of a course in miracles, this is probably the best place to start.

I’d been reading ACIM for a while, very slowly. How do I live the normal life you said I could live, practice the Course, and still not feel bad about that body identification part of my dream life? The narrative also appears exceptionally repetitive and in my opinion becomes a little tedious after the first few chapters. Wherefore, they either write this down or cause it to be written, and it turns out to be nothing, and to have the substance of no virtue, and it serves only to encourage them in vanity.
I side with Ekhart Tolle’s method instead, and recommend that. After you experience this message, it may be impossible for you — as it was for me — ever to look at your life or think of the universe the same way again.

If you are firmly invested in the dominant paradigm do NOT read this book. This approach, I diswppearance, may have been perfectly tailored to convince the author, Helen Schucman herself, after reading so many variations of the theme it eventually becomes oppressive.

You will learn that babies are not born with a clean slate or a natural tendency to focus on love and are then corrupted by the world, and you will find that if you are to return to God then you have some work to do — not work in the world, but with your thoughts.
